2024 Jeep Wrangler, an SUV that can take you just about anywhere you want to
go, especially in the rugged outdoors. This Jeep Wrangler has come a long way
from its military origins in flying colors in terms of reliability, comfort,
and safety. The 2024 Jeep Wrangler comes with luxurious higher-end trims but
that does not necessarily mean this Jeep will treat you to a pillowed ride on
the way to the trailhead.

Ford Bronco and the Toyota 4Runner are more refined options with similar capabilities, but Jeep has offered many more powertrain options than its nearest rivals. That includes a plug-in hybrid variant and a 470-hp V-8 that is exclusive to the Rubicon 392 model. The plug-in hybrid 4xe powertrain can now be had on Sport and Rubicon X trims. The hybrid models also gain a 3.6-kilowatt auxiliary battery to run accessories. The 2024 Jeep Wrangler comes with an updated grille and at least 10 new wheel designs. It also comes with a trivial visual and tech update for 2024. A new standard 12.3-inch infotainment screen is installed across the board. It replaces the smaller 5.0- and 7.0-inch screens of 2023 Wranglers. Furthermore, the 2024 Jeep Wrangler’s onboard navigation system incorporates plotting for over 2000 plus trails, with the capability for more downloads, if warranted. Also, the new Jeep’s display features the latest infotainment software, in addition to wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Additionally, Jeep integrated into the system a more powerful active noise-cancellation element to silence the interior for phone calls.
The Jeep Wrangler
can be had with one of five different powertrains. Starting with a 285-hp,
3.6-liter V-6 engine. This can be matched with a six-speed manual gearbox or a
smooth-shifting eight-speed automatic. Also, a turbocharged four-cylinder
engine is discretionary. This can be paired with an electric motor to deliver
added low-end power; however, this powertrain is at hand only with the
eight-speed automatic. Additionally, with the standard V-6 and the optional
four-cylinder hybrid, the Jeep Wrangler could also be equipped with a 3.6-liter
V-6 with a similar hybrid assist, a 375-hp plug-in hybrid 4xe powertrain, or a
6.4-liter V-8.

Since the Wranglers are primarily destined for off-road calling, part-time four-wheel drive is standard across the range. This can be controlled by a lever on the center console. It is said that the base two-door Wrangler Sport V-6 with the six-speed manual transmission darted from 60 mph in 6.1 seconds. Whereas the Rubicon model and the High Tide model, both of which can carry additional weight in the form of heavier-duty off-roading equipment, were not as fast as the others in the testing done. However, a well-equipped four-door Sahara model with the automatic transmission did the speed test in 6.8 seconds, while the four-door Sahara with the four-cylinder hybrid powertrain, was somewhat faster at 6.5 seconds to 60 mph. With all test performances done, it just confirms that the Wrangler JL has more improvements as compared with the previous model, but merely holding steady with its competitors in some metrics.
The 2024 Jeep
Wrangler starts at $31,895 to $88,190 MSRP with seven models to choose from.
The 2024 Wrangler 4xe starts at $49,995 to $69,680 MSRP with six models to
choose from. For all the purists out there, the base Sport trim level caters to
a budget whereas the top-spec Rubicon 392 is built for all-terrain speed enthusiasts.
