May 10, 2021 - South Korean tech giant Samsung is tipped to launch the
Galaxy Z Fold 3, Galaxy Z Flip 3, and Galaxy S21 Fan Edition (FE) according to
an article. As per the statement, the three smartphones may be unveiled in
August 2021. If confirmed, the unveiling would result in Samsung launching
earlier two of the three smartphones than their predecessors. It should be
remembered that the Galaxy Z Flip was launched in February 2020 and the Galaxy
Z Fold 2 was launched in September 2020. The Galaxy S20 FE was launched in
October 2020.
The launching of the three Samsung Galaxy smartphones -
Galaxy Z Fold 3, Galaxy Z Flip 3, and Galaxy S21 Fan Edition (FE) were tipped
off by South Korean news outlet Yonhap. The news article cites industry’s
persons in the know claiming that the reason for the earlier launching than their
usual way, is to make good for the fact that the Galaxy Note series is likely to be skipped owing to semiconductor shortages in the second quarter. However, there is no official word from Samsung about the phone's
launch timeline.
In a report, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 will come with an
under-display selfie camera. It also reported that it supports S Pen, though a
hybrid one. Samsung may offer the smartphone in three color variants that are
Black, Dark Green, and Silver. Also, as reported earlier, the Galaxy Z Flip 3
is tipped to feature 15W fast charging and this may also support the S Pen stylus.
It also shows in recently leaked images that this smartphone may feature a
two-tone color scheme and that it will incorporate the second display.
As for the Galaxy S21 FE, the design is expected to be similar to the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21 Plus smartphones. It is also claimed that the Galaxy S21 FE will feature a 4,500mAh battery, bigger than the vanilla Galaxy S21.
As of this writing, Samsung may have already started the production of the
Fan Edition for 2021.
