Barely two days has passed since the 2020 Honda City made its debut in Thailand, and the Japanese car maker is already enticing the car’s
potential owners to spruce up their ride with the Modulo upgraded styling pack.
And the accessory updates aren’t only focused on the
exterior, either, as there are interior and mechanical accessories included in
the different packages.
The Modula accessories set for the 2020 Honda City is
available in three packages, starting with the basic Modulo Aero Package,
priced at THB 15,500 (approx. PHP 26,100), the Modulo Aero RS Package that
costs THB 17,900 (approx. PHP 30,100), and Modulo Aero Sport Package, which
goes for THB 23,500 (approx. PHP40,000). As for what’s included in each
package, check out the breakdown below:
• Modulo
Aero Package – two front under spoilers, two side under spoilers, and two
rear under spoilers
• Module
Aero RS Package – two front under spoilers, two side under spoilers, and
two rear under spoilers
• Modulo Aero Sport Package – two front
under spoilers, two side under spoilers, and two rear under spoilers, and wing
type trunk spoiler
The wing type trunk spoiler is also sold individually, and
costs THB 8,150 (approx. PHP 13,700)
To complement your updated exterior, Honda also offers
Modulo accessories that fall under the “Stage Up Booster” concept. These
additions include the aforementioned trunk spoiler, sport pedals (THB
1,300/approx. PHP 2,190), side step garnish LED (THB 4,400/approx. PHP 7,400),
15-inch sport alloy wheels (THB 3,600/approx. PHP 6,100 sold per wheel,
excluding tires), LED fog lights (THB 5,500/approx. PHP 9,300), and drive
recorder (THB 3,850/approx. PHP 6,500).
Lest you think that the 2020 Honda City probably looks bland
to merit these sporty additions, it’s worth noting that the car’s exterior
comes with LED daytime running lights, LED rear combination lamps, shark fin
antenna, and new-look 15-inch alloy wheels. The upswept matrix headlights
mirror that of its bigger sibling, the Honda Civic. Of course, the latest City bears the Solid Wing Face signature design philosophy.
The car is powered by a 1.0-liter three-cylinder
turbocharged DOHC engine that can do 120 hp and 173 Nm of torque. Paired with a
seven-speed continuously variable transmission (CVT), the fifth-gen City boasts
an impressive fuel economy rating of 23.8 km/l, according to Honda.
