The smartphone market has had to welcome another foldable
smartphone very soon. Although the first foldable phone hit the market in 2018,
it did not, however, come from popular manufacturers. But then, the foldable
phone, Samsung Galaxy Fold, and Huawei Mate X nonetheless become the
pacesetters. Just recently Xiaomi held a mega unveiling event in China to
announce Mi 11 series phones such as the Mi11 Pro, Mi 11 Ultra, Mi11 Lite 5G, and some other Xiaomi Mi products. Xiaomi is likely to announce soon its first foldable
smartphone and would most likely be called the Mi Mix Fold.
But a new leak has surfaced online that reveals the poster
for the upcoming phone. The leaked photo was published on Weibo showing the
design validating the Mi MIX Fold label. The speculations are further bolstered
by a report from GizmoChina about a leaked shot of the
promotional material of the Mi Mix Fold. Moreover, it is said that Xiaomi Mi
Mix Foldable phone will most likely use the world’s first liquid
lens with an in-folding design. The poster photo also revealed the smartphone’s
design and key specs. The text at the bottom of the image showed that it comes
with an 8.01-inch foldable screen coupled with a 2K resolution and 1.1 billion
colors. Additionally, the handy beast is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 888
mobile processor.
Alternatively, GSMArena stated that a foldable Xiaomi Mi Mix
also appeared in leaked hands-on photos. The image shows the shape of the
phone, although on these images it has no screen yet. It can be seen in the
images that there is a slot provided for the triple camera set up in a
horizontal alignment of the shooters. The rear triple camera is said to include
a 50MP primary Sony sensor, alongside the dual 48MP telephoto and ultra-wide
angle sensors, as quoted by 91mobiles. Additionally, several reports likewise
suggest that the Xiaomi Mi Mix would get up to 16GB RAM and 512GB storage,
along with 67W fast charging support.
