The Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus were conspicuously missing from MWC 2017, with the South Korean electronics giant tight-lipped on its absence except giving a teaser of what the public might expect.

But last week Samsung confirmed the release of its Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus on March 29 this year. To give a little proof of what to be expected to that release date, South Korea’s English-language business news, The Investor reported that Samsung will be open to pre-orders for both phones on April 10th or just under two weeks after the release. Additionally, the Galaxy S8 series will then go on sale on April 21st or the usual timetable of Samsung’s April release strategy.

Since the release date is already confirmed and to also enlighten the public of some features coming to Galaxy S8 series, this writer gathered some interesting key features which might be useful for the future users.

Samsung Galaxy S8
The Galaxy S8 come in two variants, a 5.8-inch display Galaxy S8 and a 6.2-inch display Galaxy S8 Plus, with a super widescreen ratio of 18.5:9 aspect ratio. Both models come with dual curved edge screen Quad HD resolution making the device look more appealing and technical. The dual-curved-edge will be standard across the range. The operating system is the current android operating system 2017. The Galaxy S8 has a Qualcomm snapdragon 835 chipset octa-core processor with a speed of 4.2 GHz and RAM of 6GB giving the user the best performance even at peak levels. The Galaxy S8 feel is pretty real smooth coupled with high-end graphic gaming software.

Samsung retains its metal frame, glass front, and rear panel, features that were seen on its previous Galaxy S family. The key changes in its design are seen in the display which now takes up a much larger area of the front in proportion to its overall size but will most likely include the iris scanner as seen in the Note 7. With less room available at the front, it is expected to see the all too familiar home button removed and the finger scanner moved to the rear resulting in being an awkward position just to the right of the camera.
